Dia Del Los Muertos
Be them in purgatory, sheoil, hades, heaven or hell, what ever underworld ideal you believe in, it is the time of year to take the skeletons out of the closet... litterally. Today is a day to celebrate lost loved ones not to mourn or grieve but to celebrate the lives of past family and friends.

Damn DOG!!!!

I was pissed but I didnt let it get to me, however yesterday when we go the brand new remote in the mail he chewed on that one while we ran to the store! Needless to say loki is in the dog house... literally.

Zombie Walk
So I had the pleasure of attending the Medford Zombiew Walk today. Now I thought I would see a few people with face paint on dressed up in tattered cloths, but I never expected to see a full on army of zombie look alikes. These guys went all out on there make up. This little girl was awesome she was even creeping out her dad who was there dressed up. A really fun event and I cant wait to go back next year.

Thinking your a strong writer and being a strong writer are two different things. For example I thought I was a fairly strong writer until my writing 121 instructor took me down a peg or two or three or four........... My paper looked like she had slit her wrist and bled all over it. Then she proceeds to say to me after she does all this "I think something just clicked for you didnt it?" um......yeah I have to rewrite my paper lol. Im telling you this becuase its kind of a funny story, but I do have a ton of respect for my writing instructor its only been four weeks and I have learned a ton from her.

Bug Girl
Its my madre's Birthday today! yep the big 45 crazy huh. I took her down to johnny b's the rockabilly bar I talk about all the time. I thought my mom was getting up there in age but when we got to the bar everyone thought she was my girl friend! WTF how old to I look? I was like dude "its my mom cant you tell?" "Oh my god thats your mom she looks so young!" Either my mom looks as young as everyone says she does or my male patern baldness is getting worse. Im gonna go with she looks young.
Oh and Bug Girl the band in the picture WOW they were awesome I was expecting David Lee Roth to jump out of the back of the stage. Total 80s rock vibe with a punk rock attitude and thier from austraila so thats pretty cool to.

Idle Threats
I was witnesses to greatness today! Not only did I get to watch some great local bands but Lee Roy Virgel from Hellbound Glory was at Johnny B's with his side project. Some of the best outlaw country I have ever heard. Anyone who can cover Rooster by Alice in Chains in a outlaw country fashion has my respect forever. Idle Threats brought the house down at the end of the night. Its hard to believe that this local medford band hasnt made it big yet. They have some of the best music I have heard in a very long time. Catchy riffs and deep lyrics look for these guys to be gracing the billboard to 40 any day now.

No I love our dogs, however rango is the most well behaved dog I have ever seen. My mom must scare him like she did me......... I guess you should go with what works Huh?

Broken Bracelet
Sorry that I havent had time to post pictures everyday like normal. School has been keeping me very tied up and its hard to break away. Im gonna leave you with this final message. Just because something is broken, doesn't mean it cant be fixed. Be the support, be the strength, be the cause, together we can make a difference.
Boobies

Boobies
I heard a story the other day about a high school kid that was kicked out of scholl for wearing an I heart Boobies bracelet like this one. I find it very ignorant and disrespectful that the student was kicked out of school for celebrating Breast Cancer Awereness month. I have a few of these bracelets that I wear in support. Not becuase I am trying to be funny, but because I have family memebers who our survivors and I support the cause. Maybe the administration from this school should take a step back and look at the bigger picture and see past the words on the wall.

Touchdown for Awareness
The Crater football team was in full suport for Breast Cancer Awareness. Doning pink ribbons on thier helmets and wrapping thier cleats with bright pink athletic tape. Having one of thier principle a recent survior of breast cancer and now in remission, school spirt was high and alive. Even though the comets didnt walk away victorious they were all winners in my book for supporting the cause. Way to go guys.

BillBoard
Is it me or is ODOT getting clever? I never really pay attention to billboards, I glance at them but I never really give them much of a look. But this sign really grabbed me, partly because of the giant skull across the whole thing, but none the less I actually paid attention to it. And I have also come to the conclusion that I am not dying to get anywhere, taking things down a gear and enjoying the small things in life works for me. Dont get me wrong im still not the slowest person on the road but I am certainly not the fastest either. I drive my car like a drive my life two hands on the wheel, headed in a derection unknown taking one mile at a time, crossings bridges when I get there.
Joe Buck Yourself

Joe Buck Yourself
I may have very well witnessed the greatest concert ever tonight. The most intimate, upclose & presonal, stripped down unplugged show ever, they dont get much better than this. The music amazing, the musician humble. Seeing Joe Buck live is a religious experience there is no other way to put it. No micro phone no p.a. just a guitar a stage and a crowd. Music has forever changed for me. Joe Buck Yourself is simply amazing.
Dream Catcher

Dream Catcher
When I was a kid I had terrible dreams, I was extremely afraid of the dark. Any thing remotely scary and I was sleeping with the light on or sneeking in to my parents room. My Aunt Mindy made me this dream catcher so I wouldnt have bad dreams anymore. She explaied to me that the dream catcher would catch my dreams before they got to me and only give me good dreams. I have had this dream catcher hanging above my bed since my aunt gave it to me.

In my last photo I talked about watching some great bands at a local bar in town, well this is a picture of one of the singers in a little band called Step It Up & Go! A rockabilly band with attitude. I absolutly love this band not only are they some of the nicest humble musicians I have met but they are also extremely talented. So here is Nitro Nikki showing off her blue suede stiletos.

Johnny B's
Those of you that know me know that I love music. I have been playing guitar and singing since my sophmore year in highschool, my passion for music is as strong as my passion for photography. Johnny B's is a local bar right off of campus where I can enjoy both music and photography. I have been lucky enough to listen to and photograph some great bands down there. I also get to hang out and chill during my break at school which is a big plus :). In short if your ever in the Medford area and want to hear some good music and be in good company check out Johnny B's.
First day of school

First day of school
Suprisingly,I wasnt nervous about my first day in class, I was actualy very calm and collected. I walked the halls like I had been doing this for months. Its wierd how somethings will stick with you, just like riding a bike you never forget. So far the classes I have taken seem really cool and I am stoked to dive further into them. All in all my first day of school was not that bad.

Houdini
Not much to say today, had lunch with some friends then searched for our missing dog! Im thinking about renaming him houdini. I guess there was a reason kate called him Kain the wonder dog.....................Oh I almost forgot, after making hambuger patties for dinner the dogs decided that they wanted to share one so yeah...... they took one off the counter and ate it, ahh the joys of being a dog owner

My Rock
This is a drawing of our family that my daughter drew for me. Kat, Anna, and I all holding hands. I love this picture I keep it hanging on our fridge so I can see it and remember that every bump in the road that I go over is for her. No matter how hard life may get for me and no matter how many times I may feel like giving up and throwing the towl in I have to be strong for her. I live for my daughter I love her with all my heart she really is my reason for living, she gives me the strength to get up everyday and push myself to be a better person she is my rock.

Rollin N' Dough
It was off to the coast today to see the family and all the new editions that have recently arrived in our lives. we had time to kill when we got to Gold Beach so we headed on over to Rollin N' Dough Bakery & Bistro to make my mom buy us some lunch (thanks mom lol). I had my usual a cobb salad, might I add that its the best salad ever SO GOOD! Kat had her normal as well a shrimp and jalapeno baguet. But the real treat was the lemon cheese cake that we had, WOW! Delicious. So if you ever find yourself in Gold Beach make Rollin N' Dough your number one stop for food.

Ruby Dee & The Snakehandlers
So today I chilled out in Grants Pass at the tattoo shop doing some work for my tattooist, but this evening I head down to Johnny B's! I went down to watch Step It Up & Go! and got to watch Ruby Dee & The SnakeHandlers as an added bonus. Both bands rocked the house! It was a fantastic show, I have watched tons of bands live but I must say that nothing compares to watching a band in a small venue doing thier thing, I will go on and say that this was one of the best shows I have ever seen both bands brought thier "A" Game. If you ever get the chance to watch either one of these bands DO IT!!! You wont regret.

Tools of the trade
Alot of people just think that once you have taken the pictures that the job is done. Well thats not the case my computer is just as valuable to me as my camera is I cant do my job without either one of them. I probably spend the majority of my time editing pictures than I do taking them. So a photographers job doesnt end after the shoot, in reality the real job begins.
Scars

Scars
We all have scars, some deeper than others, some on the inside that only you can feel and some on the outside for everyone to see. Its how you carry the scars you have that defines you as a person. From the first time you cut your hand with a kitchen knife to your first love that you lost. Will you let a scar lift you up and make you a better person or will you let it take you down and run your life. Think about the lessons learned from the scars in your life, remember we are all made of

Ratrod -O- Ramo
Good music, fast cars and beautiful girls what could possibly ruin that?............... Rain! Today would have been a near perfect day if it wouldnt have been for the massive down pour that came out of nowhere. But all in all, rain or not, I had a blast. I got to photograph some amazing ratrods today, pure bliss. I got to listen to some true RockaBilly music and to top it off I got to photograph some beautiful girls. Im not sure what this girls name is but she was a natural pinup, she has the look, the pose, and the attitude of a true pinup girl, Bettie Page would be proud.
P.S. I big shout out to my dad, its his 52nd birthday today :) if it wasnt for him im sure I wouldnt have near the appreciation that I do for cars. Happy Birthday Pops!
