Expendables

Today Kat and I decided that it was kick back and relax day. We had a 17 hour drive yesterday and we really didnt feel like doing anything. So we decided that we were going to hop in the car head out to White City and grab a matinee. The Expendables happened to be playing, and its a movie we have both when dying to see. Let me tell you every action star from the 90's and then some, that movie rocked. If you like action action action this is a must see you cant beat Sylvester Stallone, Jet Li, and Jason Statham they make a great team! Everyone else in the movie rocked as well but those guys really made the movie.

The Long Drive Home

Well today was Anna's last day of our week long visit. A bitter sweet moment, I really want to spend more time with her but I am also really excited for her to start school in a couple of days. I only had a chance to snap off a couple shots from our drive today, Anna wasnt in all that good of a mood and of course I was driving. So with the few shots I snapped off, this little gem came out of it. I think this is a beautiful picture of Anna, I caught her with a smile on a day filled with tears.

Daddy's Little Girl

Ah it was such a nice day out today, nice cool 70 out and a mild breeze, perfect. Of course that was untill kats car rebroke down in town today, LOVELY!!! But my dad swung in to the rescue and got us back up and running for a fraction of what it would of cost us in a shop. So anna and I decided that since kat was having such a bad day, we would clean the whole house and get dinner done for her when she got home from work. But not before we snapped a few pictures off for the picture of the day. Here's Anna showing off her drawing skills on my phone.

Corn on the Cob

Well today started out great, Kat's car died! A fine way to start the morning, luckly my dad is in town and was able to come over and get us running again "cross your fingers". So for the rest of the day Anna and I hung out she rode her bike around the driveway, we played with the dogs, and watched movies. But for dinner Anna wanted Corn on the Cob and this picture pretty much explains her love for it. She devoured a whole peace in like 2.7 seconds, no joke. So needless to say I think corn on the cob is on the menu for tomorrow night as well lol.

Dread Lock

So today we went swimming at Gracie Gray's house and Anna ended up with a head full of tangles lol. Anna and Gracie swam and jumped on the trampoline in the 104 degree weather while I hid in the shade under an awning after my quick dip in the pool. So now we are getting ready to cook some spaghetti and chillax for the rest of the evening.

Full Moon

Tonight there was a full moon and I was gonna try and incorperate that into my picture however a serious of events starting with the oven going out on us, forcing us to find another avenue to cook our dinner, which was taking it over to kats moms and finishing it there. Needless to say I didnt have alot of preperation for the picture so it was a quick snap and done :)

Ballerina

Today was a pretty fun day, Kat, Anna, and I went down to the horse show at the fair grounds, hung out there for a little while and enjoyed the horses, then headed home. I was such a beautiful day today that Anna and I hung out on the back porch and played with the dogs while kat was off doing some home work with a friend. So this picture is of Anna busting out her ballerina moves on the back porch.

Popcorn

Not much happened today pretty much a lazy day, only left the house a couple of times to go to the store. So Anna had been talking about eating popcorn and watching Pirates of the Caribbean all day. So, after she ate her dinner, kat made her this big bowl of popcorn do devour, and devour she did l...ol I swear that kid would live off popcorn if I would let her. So this is Anna giving me her best pirate glare while im stealing a picture. :)

Scooby Doo

Guess who is back!!! My daughter Anna is back for another week of quality time with her pops. So for the next week she will be my muse, all the pictures will be based around her and our day, just like the last time. Today she didnt get here until this afternoon so we pretty much just had dinner..., movie, and a quick trip down to Dairy Queen for some ICE CREAM!!! Now its time to lay down with Scooby Doo and watch some Scooby Doo.

Sun Star

So there is this tree out in front of our house, that has been kind of an eye soar. It has had no branches or leafs on it since we moved in, in febuary. So kat and I are walking out of the house the other day and BAM!!! the tree had flowers on it. I hadnt even noticed that it had grown branches a...nd leafs on it, let alone bright pink flowers. So the last few days it has really been blooming. So I decided to shoot it for my picture of the day, I wanted to do it with a little twist, this is what I came up with, Sun Star.

Well day 71 of 365! I have been wacthing tv off and on all day and it seemed like every show I watched had to deal with losing someone. Moon Light Drive

It's hard to believe that sevety days ago I started this project standing on my back porch at 5 in the morning taking shots of the fading cresent moon. I feel that this shot sheds some light on how much I have grown as a photographer and the knowledge I have gained about my camera. I have always been the kind of person that finds it hard to see things through and be faithful to projects, but I find myself being more organized and punctual with every passing day. Setting a goal and sticking to it is a challenge we all know that, how many of us have made a new years resolution to lose wieght but end up gaining after its all said and done? I know I have. I know im not even a quarter of the way through my project but every day that passes by makes me more anxious for the next. Big things are in my future and there will be a picture everyday for me to share with you.

Well we have reached day seven of the week long shots of kat. For this photo we decided to do something a little more fun and light hearted. Everything I have shot in the last two weeks has been so serious and heavy, this was a nice break, a fun, quick, easy shot. We didnt plan on paying hom...age to Jack Nicholson in the shinning, but....... kat just about nailed the face lol. So the message I am trying to portray in this picture is to relax, dont take life so serious all the time. We only have one life to live! Make the most of this time you have here on earth, you never know when you number is gonna be up.

Anniversary Flowers

Yes today is the day kat and I have reached the one year mile marker in our relationship. Kat decided that she didnt want to do anything for our anniversary but lay around and watch movies. So first thing this morning I got up ran to the store picked her up some flowers and some breakf...ast stuff, ran and got some movies, and grabbed a couple coffees for us on the way home. We ended up going through 5 movies a large pizza and two, two liters of soda lol oh yes we were lazy ALL DAY LONG, it was great just the two of us sprawled out over the couch with each others company. I have to say I think this was the best anniverasy ever!!!!

My Beauty Queen

The Kat of the TyKat!!! My one and only :) So day one of my week long pictures of kat. She wanted to express her love for me ;) the face says it all lol. Kat and I have been together for a year on friday. Not a day has gone by that we dont laugh and smile there is no shortness of love between the two of us. Ghostly Encounters

So I have manged to get through a week of Self Portraits and I feel pretty good about all of them. I pushed myself to go bigger and better every day with every picture, satisfaction is mine lol. Now about my day. Kat and I drove to ashland to take our dogs for a walk around Lithia Park and shoot some while we were there. We walked the dogs around the park taking turns holding the dogs while the other one took some shoots. We managed to get some good shots in before the dogs became restless and started barking at the squirrels, so our walk was cut a little short, pictures to come. Todays photo is me goofing around with shutter speed, lighting, and posing this is the end result :) Stayed tuned for this upcoming week kat will be the feature model for every picture :)

Wide Angle

Well not much to say about this picture, just me with one of our 35mm cameras trying to be creative :) But enough about the pictrue lets talk about my day! Well I was invited to spend the day up the illinios with some friends, Hot day + River = Awesome it was a blast. However I failed to realize how out of shape I am. We had quite the little down hill hike to get there, which was no big deal it was hot I could see the river I didnt care how I got there. The trek back up a different story. I left a few hours ahead of my party to get back home to see kat who had been gone for the weekend at a wedding. I started up the trail full steam ahead, already pretty drained from the sun and swimming but none the less I was off. I got about 20 ft. up the trail and about keeled over I was sure they were gonna have to air lift me out of this place lol. Wow im not sure if I will ever go back to that swimming hole again, the place was beautiful but the hike was dreadful. Now im sore, tired, and I finally have my breath back so om off to BED!!!

Restraint

For todays picture I am displaying my feelings and thoughts. I really had to restrain myself when I learned that our dog kain, had tore down our back gate and fled the house. But thats not the worst of it he then decided to go pick a fight with another dog down the street and scare the living daylights out of the dogs owner. Thank God the guy was cool and locked kain in his garage and got ahold of us to come pick him up. So needless to say I am restraining myself from killing a dog.

I have always been fascinated with magic, the fact the someone can give the illusion of defying nature, gravity, and reality is intriguing to me. So today there was a Criss Angel Mindfreak marathon on A&E, and I pretty much had it on all day while I was doing things around the house. So my insperation for todays pictrue was Mindfreak. This picture is copyed from the first season of mindfreak, I put my little twist on it and Ala Ka Zam (lol I had to do it). This is also my second self portrait shot.

Self Portrait

Well today I decided that I was gonna atempt a self partrait, I have pictures of all kinds of people and things but none of me. So this is me showing off my grovey new TyKat bracelet that I had made while I was in Gold Beach at the fair. I normally dont like any pictures of myself, but for so...me reason I really dig this picture. I was wanting to showcase my TyKat bracelet and I wanted to have a small presence in the picture. This is one of the few times that I envisioned something and I was able to bring it to life in a photograph.

Summer Fun

I got to spend sometime with my little cousins Maximus & Rhyan this afternoon. We headed over to the water park to chill out in this summer heat. This picture reminded me of how it was to be young and care free, when the littlest things were amusing to you. Bad Pig

Wow where does the time go??? august already, well another day gone and another day up. So here we go, day three of my shoot of the motor sports event led me to the mud drags. Two trucks going balls out across a sea of mud it couldnt get any better than that........or could it? Trucks from across the county and some across the state came to race and race they did. Mud was flying all over the place the walls, the roof, ME!!! But after all the stock trucks and the modifieds raced it was time for the super modifieds to take some runs through our mud pit. These Trucks normally run through mud pits that are three times the length of ours, I thought that mud was flying when the locals were racing, that was nothing to what these guys did. they were shooting mud to the roof to the crowd pretty much everywhere, and fast oh man were they fast. I dont think they ever left first gear and it seemed like they were done in a blink of an eye. So here is one of the shots I got that is not blurred from the awesome speeds of these trucks, I didnt catch the drivers name at the time but the name of the truck is BAD PIG!!!

One Tuff Truck

I was recently asked to photograph the motor sprots events for some of my firends at the Curry County Fair. So the first night I was the there they had sled pulls, which was pretty cool, Lots of drivers showed up to participate. How ever night two was the interesting night. Tuff Trucks!!! a course was set up around the arena with different obsitcales that you had to over come. In this picture the driver had just cleared the tire pit with his front tires and hit with his back, hitting the massive hole of tires which sent his rear end flying in to the air almost sending him head over heals. Needless to say his front axel was shot. But that didnt put this driver down he worked all night to get his truck up and running for the mud drags the next day. So kudos to you man it was a blast watching you beat the hell out of your ONE TUFF TRUCK.
